Since 1985, it has been the Ukes’ declared mission to counter the seriousness of life with charm, British wit, surprising arrangements, a healthy dose of self-irony, and simply sheer joy in playing and entertaining: it has thus developed into an internationally renowned institution that nevertheless does not shy away from constantly reinventing itself.
