The day of the open monument takes place from 7 to 9 September under the motto "discover, what connects us" in Hamburg. On 7.09. he starts with the kick-off event "What connects us - discovering international cultural history in Hamburg". At weekends, lectures, guided tours and tours are complemented by a colorful cultural and family program. Over 140 events will be offered this year. A large number of the monuments were restored or even rescued with the support of the Stiftung Denkmalpflege Hamburg. Also this year the popular barge shuttle connects the port of Hamburg with the Harburg inland port on Sunday. In Bergedorf there will be a ring line with a historic bus.

In Hamburg, the Stiftung Denkmalpflege Hamburg organizes the event with the Denkmalschutzamt. Nationwide, the Monument Day is coordinated by the German Foundation for Monument Protection. It is under the auspices of the Council of Europe as part of the "European Heritage Days" and takes place throughout Europe in September.

The printed program will be available from mid-August in numerous places in the city and is then available online at www.denkmalstiftung.de/denkmaltag
