Schumann Quartett

Does a composer know that a work would be his last? And can world weariness, farewell or serenity be heard in the music? The renowned Schumann Quartet investigates these questions within the context of the Hamburg International Music Festival, which in 2026 is under the theme of »Ende« [Ending], with the final string quartets by Ludwig van Beethoven and, one of this season’s spotlight composers, Hans Werner Henze.
