This year too, the Flussschifferkirche is opening its hatches for the Open Monument Day (Tag des Offenen Denkmals).

It kicks off at 11 a.m. with the chance to explore the ship church during an 'open ship' event and learn more about its history and its current work as a church in the harbor.

Then at 3 p.m., you can take part in a service on Hamburg’s floating church monument, led by Pastor i. R. Heinz-Jochen Blaschke.

At 4:30 p.m., the first edition of the ship’s own cultural series 'Kultur auf'm Kahn' (Culture on the Boat) takes place. This time, the Hamburg writers’ group GANG oF FOUR will be performing 'Ganz dolle Geschichten' (Really Great Stories).

Entry is, as always, free, but donations for the upkeep of the 'Flusi' and support for its work are welcome.

Please note: The service and the reading will be in German.
