The building on Lübecker Straße is not only the oldest preserved building in the city, but also a cultural monument with statewide significance. Another important function of the Segeberger Bürgerhaus as a local history museum lies in its role as a point of contact for history-interested citizens.

Small temporary exhibitions on local history and socio-historical topics complement the offerings.
