Grand Chinese New Year Concert 2026

The 26th Chinese New Year Concert marks the beginning of the Year of the Horse with a magnificent musical experience that highlights the diversity of Chinese musical tradition. Under the baton of Maestro Sun Peng, the traditional Chinese orchestra Wuxi unfolds a broad spectrum of sounds – from festive overtures to works that engage in dialogue between the past and the present, accompanied by the rarely heard Chinese instruments pipa and erhu. Robert Meyer accompanies the evening and lends it a special touch with his characteristic blend of elegance and subtle humor.
