Other
Laeiszhalle (Kleiner Saal), Hamburg

Gisèle Pelicot moved millions of people with her courage and determination in the »Avignon trial«. She earned worldwide recognition for her decision to waive her right to anonymity in the legal battle against her ex-husband Dominique and 50 other men who were convicted of countless sexual assaults against her. Her story and her appeal »The shame must shift sides« have resonated widely and led to numerous discussions and changes in the law.
In conversation with Sandra Kegel, editor-in-chief of the arts section of the F.A.Z., and Michaela Wiegel, F.A.Z. correspondent in France, Gisèle Pelicot talks about how she wants to encourage people and give them new strength.

The event will be held primarily in German. Gisèle Pelicot will speak in French and will be translated simultaneously. The event will be recorded and published on digital channels afterwards. By purchasing a ticket, visitors agree to the possible reproduction and use of the image and audio material.
