Florian Heinisch / Piano Recital

Classical Music
Elbphilharmonie (Kleiner Saal), Hamburg

To mark the 250th anniversary of American independence, Florian Heinisch has put together a programme that emphasises the deep-rooted connections between the USA and Europe. The programme is intended to send a signal to reach out to one another again and build bridges – a fundamental prerequisite for a free, democratic society. In addition to composers who were born in America and come from very different backgrounds, the programme also features Bartók and Schönberg, who found a new home there during the Third Reich or who came from other countries and made America their home. The programme is intended to inspire listeners to explore the foundations of American independence: freedom, tolerance and openness.
