Duo Pertar

The Duo Pertar embarks on a fascinating musical journey around the world: The two musicians combine Western instruments such as marimba, vibraphone, electric and acoustic guitar, and percussion (darbuka & djembe) with traditional instruments from East Asia – such as the Chinese yangqin (hammered dulcimer) and da ruan (moon lute), as well as the powerful da gu (bass drum). The audience can expect original compositions and imaginative arrangements that take them from the quiet temples of China to South American festival grounds and European soundscapes to West Africa – an evening full of colours, rhythms and emotions.
