Drunter & Drüber - Neustadt Festival

Under the motto "Space for everyone," a neighborhood festival will take place in Hamburg's Neustadt district on September 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The district will become the venue for a diverse program featuring art, music, exhibitions, tours, and interactive activities in public spaces.

Together with residents, business owners, cultural workers, musicians, initiatives and institutions, events are created in various locations in the district – both indoors and outdoors, in shops, shop windows and on squares.

A key focus of the festival is the presentation of a citizen's project on the mobile and temporary redesign of the Großneumarkt square. The central question is how public spaces can be designed for diverse users.

The program includes live music, DJ sets, exhibitions, guided tours, and various participation and action formats.
