"Wandervögel unterwegs" - Hike for young and old Saturday, May 10, 2025 Start 10 a.m. at Dreilützow Castle

100 years of the school hostel movement
100 years ago, there was a lively "Wandervogel" movement in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Hundreds of people of all ages and from all walks of life set out to explore nature together. Many reform schools emerged from this movement, as well as youth hostels and school hostels. The 100th anniversary year of school hostels is an opportunity for us to go out together, just as the Wandervögel did back then. Anyone who is interested is cordially invited to join us on the hike. The route of around 8 kilometers is particularly suitable for children with their parents and grandparents. At the beginning there will be some insights into the work of the Dreilützow Castle school hostel, starting at Dreilützow Castle. We will then be on the road for about two to three hours. Our destination is Döbbersen. We will have lunch there and then shuttle the hikers back to Dreilützow.
