Press release Klaus E. Spieldenner

Klaus E. Spieldenner attracted attention in 2017 with "ELBTOD" - the first crime novel about Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie. Born in 1954, the author began writing in 2012 out of "creative boredom." With 'ELBGRAB', the ninth regional crime novel in his series about Hamburg detective Sandra Holz has now been published by CW Niemeyer in 2023 (after 'ELBTRAUM', 'ELBFINSTERNIS', 'ELBFLUCHT' and 'ELBGIER').

Readers appreciate Spieldenner's extensive research and inclusion of real-life stories. At his readings, the 68-year-old author and musician delights guests with experiences from intensive investigations, as well as with songs that match the plot of his crime novels.

Klaus E. Spieldenner from Saarland lives with his wife Ingrid in Bad Oldesloe. Both have two grown-up children and a grandson.

Blurb "ELBGRAB"

A heavy explosion shatters the nightly silence at Hamburg's fish market. With a loud bang, the U-434 sinks to the bottom of the Elbe, a man dies. A terrorist attack? An accident? Unsolved questions, which the new head of the homicide department must now face, while his severely battered predecessor, Inspector Sandra Holz, finds herself after her rehab stay in the investigation group 'Unsolved Criminal Cases'. There she not only meets old acquaintances and a new love, but also stumbles right into the middle of a case in which she herself is to become a victim. But she has no idea of this yet.

The role played by the Old Elbe Tunnel, the blackmail of the Hanseatic city and the digital currency BITCOIN is revealed as usual with "full force" in the new Hamburg crime novel ELBGRAB, by Klaus E. Spieldenner.
