Museum festival and regional market with duck rally and bike tour
On May 24, the annual museum festival will take place at the Goldberg Nature Museum. On the grounds of the museum with its romantic orchard and herb garden, there will be a small market for regional products and, of course, snacks, coffee, waffles, ice cream and more. For the first time, there will also be cakes from our new clay oven; admission to the museum is free. We are thus developing the festival into a small regional market and hope to be able to continue this new format in the coming years. The festival starts at 11:00 and ends at around 16:00. The 4th Goldberg Duck Rally on the Mildenitz will then start in front of the museum.
A cycle tour through the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heath Nature Park starts at the Goldberg Nature Museum at 10:00 am. This is because 24 May is also the European "Day of Parks", a day on which the nature parks and national parks in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern offer various opportunities to explore the state with all its natural beauty and biodiversity. The cycle tour leads from Goldberg via Dobbertin and Kleesten to Hellberg and back to the Nature Museum in Goldberg. It takes about 4 hours and is accompanied by a ranger from the nature park.
