In 1560, the foundation stone for the first Reformation church building in the state was laid on the north side of Schwerin Castle under Johann Albrecht I. The church in Hartenfels Castle in Torgau, which was consecrated by Martin Luther in 1544, and the castle church in Dresden, which was built in 1550, served as models.

Due to the limited number of places, registration is required by calling 0385-58841571 or 0385-58841572 and is possible from 25.4.2025.
