Discovery tour "Blooming moor"
Sunday, 25/05/2025 / 10:00 AM - 01:00 PM / Treff: Parkplatz an der Hühnerfarm
The M-V Environmental and Nature Conservation Foundation and the Grambower Moor Association invite you to join them on guided excursions through the Grambower Moor and to visit the moor exhibition in the hunting school.
You can expect fruiting cotton grass stands, flowering stands of marsh calla and marsh pore and many exciting insights into the life of a rain moor, more precisely the second largest rain moor in the state of M-V, as well as its history of development, settlement and use (draining and peat extraction). The moorland presents itself differently every year, depending on whether the weather is dry or wet. Plans to revitalize the rain moor have been carried out and completed under the auspices of the foundation.
The bog exhibition and the taxidermy room at the hunting school are open on Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 3 pm. Members of the Grambower Moor e. V. association will be on hand to provide explanations. Anyone who wants to can take part in a quiz.
Dates: Saturday, May 24, 2025, 10:00 a.m. to approx. 12:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 25, 2025, 10:00 a.m. to approx. 1:00 p.m.
