With the Süderstraße animal shelter, we, the Hamburger Tierschutzverein von 1841 e.V. (Hamburg Animal Welfare Association), operate the second largest animal shelter in Germany.

Together with you, we would like to celebrate animal welfare in good spirits and sunny weather! There will be a children's program with crafts and face painting, delicious vegan food, exciting tours of the animal shelter, and a raffle with great prizes: books, free tickets for Hamburg cinemas, theaters, festivals, and leisure facilities, as well as high-quality accessories for your four-legged companions are just a few examples of the prizes at this year's Animal Welfare Festival. Also joining us: our popular flea market and numerous animal welfare organizations that will be introducing themselves and their important work.
